Hello, Could you please give me your opinions on which one of these laptops is the best.

I have narrowed it down to these:

Acer AS5605-SB485 ( AMD A8 based ) $519.99 This says it has switchable graphics? Does that mean it has Onboard video as well as the graphics on the A8 chip and if so what is the graphics it is able to switch over to?

Acer AS5750G-6824 ( Intel i5 based ) $549.99 Says it has dedicated graphics card and 1 mb of vram

They both have good battery life which is important to me. I will be using it to surf the internet, watch streaming video, word processing and very light gaming so somewhat decent video would be good. Newegg has them both.

Could you give me your input on which one of these might have an edge over the other. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am having a hard time deciding between the two.

    THANK YOU

I'd suggest filling out the WNSIB FAQ.

    Acer isn't your only option.

acer is a bad choice if you ask me have you ever read the warranty terms they only warranty it as it left the factory if you install something and they deam it to be the problem they dont help get it back. No software support at all without paying. Even HP or Dell will help you set it up and make sure it works with java and so on.
