I just got this computer a few days ago and at first everything was ok but now when i try and use the camera all I can see is a gray square. I've tried using the logitech drivers and image studio even though it's a bison cam but no luck. I've updated the drivers and directx too. I really don't want to reimage the drive because I've quite a bit of data on there already. Can anyone help shed some light on this?

Ok so for some reason reinstalling the video drivers resolved this and all is working now. Can anyone suggest other software though that will give me more options over the cam? The fps is a bit crap...

set gain and shutter speed higher - you'll get the same exposure with better fps

Thanks for the advice man, it does help clear up the picture. The thing is that the cam's doing the same thing again. Reinstalling the video drivers didn't help this time, reinstalling the cam drivers did help after a few goes but then the problem reappeared the next day. Is anyone else having intermittent problems like this? I'm getting the impression that it's a software problem but I just can't be sure ad I'd like to get it resolved soon while it's still new....

I have the gray screen problem too, but it seems permanent not intermittent. When I open the webcam software the green light turns on but nothing happens. I've tried reinstalling the orbicam driver but no luck.
I've also been having problems with USB in general. Perhaps it could be related, since I think the orbicam interfaces through USB internally. Sometimes when I plug a usb devices in I get a messaging saying if you plug the device into a "USB 2.0" port it will run faster. The device doesn't work until I reboot.
