Okay, I think I'm getting closer to finally fixing my problem (getting eRecovery to work properly, etc.) and to do so I just found out that it lies within fixing my MBR.

I learned that I have to run mbrwrwin.exe (located in my acer directory on my laptop) and that rtmbr.bin is a much needed file that has to be opened (?) in order to recreate the MBR (mbrwrwin needs to install rtmbr). However, I can't find this anywhere on my laptop!

I've been told that I can get this file off of my recover CDs that I made, or by accessing the PQSERVICE partition on my harddrive ...

My question is ... How do I do this!?

And ... does anyone have any practice/experience with re-creating their MBR in order to get ALT-F10, etc. working?

    Thanks! :D
