try downloading a DOS or WIN98 BOOTDISK image.... then burn that ISO file as a bootable CD image.
next download the DOS FLASH for your system... extract those files and burn them to a second CD
boot from the first CD
swap CDs and follow the instructions for thew DOS FLASH METHOD -
Wow, I think I'll pass on that procedure, thank you
-
maybe Andy will step up and help you with the windows flash...
but since i don't use VISTA and my BOIS is a different manufacturer i'm not very familuar with how to do the flash on your model...
wish i could be more help -
OP: You're using Vista ??
Do you have UAC disabled ?? -
Yes I'm using Vista SP1 x64 and have UAC disabled and I right clicked on Winphlash to Run as administrator.
-
Oh, actually winphlash doesn't run in Vista 64 for me too.
I normally update the BIOS through a USB Floppy Drive, or I boot into XP 32 and then flash the BIOS through WinPhLash.... -
Well thank you for confirming the problem, I won't keep bashing my brains out.
-
Winphlash actually tries to register a driver, which isn't 64-bit compatible yet....
-
burn a CD with the DOS flash files for your system
then burn a CD from the ISO image i'm about to send you...
boot from the cd you create from the ISO image...
then insert the CD with the FLASH files... and run the flash according to the instructions in the zip file -
I have xp64 and the same problem. But I read all the problems introduced with the new bios files and decided to stick with 1.02 on the 6920g vs. 1.10.
