    Need help upgrading to Blu-ray drive

    Anyone know which blu ray drive/model Acer is using in there laptops with the 5470 or 7740 series? You can't order them from Acer directly. I'd like to upgrade the DVDRW drive but can't find any info on the blu ray drives, what is supported, or what drivers I would need.

    There are probably several that would fit. Would suggest you get the service manual (various sites) . . but you will be lucky to find them for sale at an economic price
    No special driver needed, at least on W7
    You will need to upgrade your DVD player software for BluRay Video AND AUDIO though.
