At 1100$ you really cant beat this deal...but really im confused at the 64mb x700...i like to play the latest games..and im not sure if this would be strong enough...Really though i dont play games at high resolutions...800x600 is cool for me...but i still dont know..is it possible to OC to be like the 128mb card in the ferrari?
For those that owned the machine..how do you overclock it...also id like to know how gameplay is...Is it even ok for gaming? Im not concerned about fan noise...so thats fine with me...(i live in a pretty noisy area)...heat is ok as long as its not killing my machine..anyway im pretty confused so help would be much appreciated...
thanks

How can you say that an X700 is not good for gaming? It is a beast... It is like, the second best ATI card out there? It is perfect for gaming.. i would say you can run any game on it... HL2, Doom 3, UT 2004... and if you want to, you can use ATI Tool to overclock it.

I think he is talkin about that it is a 64mb not a 128mb like most others.
I think for most purposes it should be fine for gaming, if you're fine with the lower resoultion. I believe the drivers for the card automatically incorporate the hypermemory feature that uses the computer's ram to double it to 128 -
Do you know for sure if it has hypermemory...because if it does im gonna order it right now...that really is a system seller..and yea i am refering to the 64mb...the core is good (x700) but i know the next games are gonna have a 128mb minimum regaurdless of the core..so in that like the 64mb will limit me...does hyper memory bypass that..not really sure..any knowledge would be appreciated...

Even if it is 64, it can run games very well. The difference between chipsets are a lot larger than differences between memory.

You'll be able to crank up most of the options because the X700 is very powerful, but you'll have to keep the textures and the res down (XGA) in many games because of the small 64MB frame buffer.
Need some feedback from 4402 owners (about graphics card)
