I had a strange problem with my Aspire One yesterday. The netbook was plugged in and I closed the lid and then after about 30 minutes I went to use my laptop, but when I opened the lid I had a "no bootable drive" message (or something like that). No matter what I did it kept beeping and would not come out of that state. I ended up just holding the power button down and restarting and it booted up fine. I'm worried that this could be a sign of a problem to come. Anyone have any thoughts?

Did you recreate the same situation again and check ??? I dont think that theres anything to worry here if it does not repeat.

I tired to recreate the same situation (i.e., closed the lid, waited a while etc), but the problem didn't happen. Hopefully it's a one time thing. Fortunately the warranty is a year and I just got it so I'll have a while to see if it's a real problem. I also backed it up to an external drive so I won't lose any of my data if it is a problem. Thanks.

Very good. I dont think that this is ever gonna happen again. Please note that human made computers are not perfect machines and are only in a lower stage of evolutionl. It is quite natural that these machines show problems like that
