I got my new 1810T and after opening it up, the first thing I noticed was that the touchpad buttons are not even.
By "even" I mean they're not level with each other. The left button sits a little higher on its right side and the right button sits lower on its left side.
Anyone else experience this? Is this something that has a simple fix like the double-sided tape for the mushy keyboard?
Also, I went into the device manager, opened up the monitor properties and when I choose "Hardware Ids" it shows this:
MONITOR\CMO1100
What type of panel do I have?

Never looked at them from that angle, until I read this, and mine are also not perfectly aligned. However, I do have a mild case of OCD, so maybe it's all in my head

Hehe, I've got OCD too! I notice every little imperfection in my gadgets. My first 1810T had at least six dead pixels so I returned that. The one I got now has these uneven touchpad buttons. Don't know if it's worth exchanging again since I risk getting one with dead / stuck pixels. This unit w/ the uneven buttons has no dead / stuck pixels.

I'm on my third Aspire 1410 as I experienced loose hinges (bad) on the first two, and the third unit is okay but not great. I also have noticed that the mouse buttons aren't level on mine, I hear the memory hissing sound underneath it, and the base of my notebook seems slightly warped. Lots of little issues with it, but I still really enjoy using this as it's pretty powerful for a netbook.
