Ok, I am loving this computer, but there is one problem that makes this computer SUCK!!! For some reason, all the hyperlinks are "PURPLE". Go to google and search for something, and the blue links are gone; they are now "PURPLE". All the links on this page are "PURPLE"! It is so annoying that I'm about to send this computer back. The yellows and greens are intense also.

Go to yahoo.com, and the red in the yahoo looks PINK.

I tried messing around with the color setting in the Nvidia control panel to no avail.

Someone please help me. I would greatly appreciate it!

Messing with the contrast doesn't work. Also, I have some pdf files I transfered over from the other computer that I made. All the title for each section were done in a navy blue. Well, those titles on this computer are purple.

Don't get me wrong, I can still see the color blue in some things. The color blue in the "edit, quote, multi-quote, quick reply" on the bottom right of this box is the blue I'm used to having my hyperlinks at. It doesn't matter what web browser I use; it could be firefox, IE, chrome, safari, it just doesn't matter.

    What is going on?

edit: It isn't anything I did. I got so frustrated that I did something wrong that I reinstalled everything to factory settings with my 3 recovery disks, and the problem is still there!

Can you provide some screenshots? Will be easier to determinate the problem.

Is the problem limited the hyperlinks only? If this is the case your laptop cannot be the problem.

Ok. I took two screenshots. How do I put them on here?

edit: I uploaded them to the desktop wallpapers images section. The titles have the word "purple" in them. They are pending approval. There are two of them.

    Thanks!

Well, I got a defective computer! What luck...

My arcade touchpad or whatever next to my keyboard hasn't worked at all. I can changed the volume in windows and the blue light will go up and down on the pad, but that is it.

The Acer guy said I shouldn't have the purple color. Basically the color navy blue changed to purple. The yellows and reds are all screwed up too. I ran 3dmark06 basic and got like 2880 or something. This is with 1280x1024 on the program and the standard 1920x1080 in windows. This should be a lot higher so I suppose I got a faulty graphics card too!

Bad graphics card and bad cinema touchpad. Hmmm.... That is excruciatingly depressing!

It's not faulty. You can just download some new drivers from laptopvideo2go.

    Stop stressing.

Yeah, well the cinedash didn't work at all either. I did a clean install with the rescue disks, and the purple was still there and still no functioning from the cinedash.

I sent to laptop back yesterday, and newegg is shipping a new one out Monday. It will be here Tuesday. If the purple is still there, then yeah, it is probably faulty drivers they are putting in the laptop, and I will download newer ones from laptopvideo2go.

edit: I was just looking at the images that I uploaded, and on my laptop, the color is normal how it should be ---> blue. Wow!
