It looks like a great laptop for all the features that you get! It comes in at a great price too! This would be a great laptop for the budget/value people; who want power and features at a great price.

Windows - The operating system that runs the world.

Toshiba - Quality, price, and features!

How many lbs. do you think this one will weigh? 5lbs. like the 3201? 100gb is huge, i hope it is a 5400 or 7200rpm cuz 4200rpm would be soo slow.

3200 series are the only 14in pentium m laptops w/ 9700 64mb... i wish more manufacturer will pick up this combination... the only other thing similiar to this is sony vaio s but it costs way more...

    thnx for the info...

3203 is already posted on the acer america website but is being withdrawn. I spoke to the Acer Institutional sales rep who sent me the specs for the 3204xmi and confirmed a third week of January release

I've seen a bunch of sites preparing to sell it. Most have the eta date as January 12 and some January 15. All seem to be listed around 1800.

Hey athreya, did they say anything about hard drive speed? cuz I would hate to have that big of a hard drive on a 4200rpm. From the upgrades I think the weight will still be withing 5.1lbs as it's listed, i hope.

Those are pretty nice specs for such a sweet unit! [8D] Athreya, that was a nice find. I hope they haven't made any un-needed changes to the unit like making it bigger, heavier, uglier. I guess we'll see in a couple weeks. I got my fingers crossed!

What do you mean the super won't be there? Isn't it a dvd burner?

It will come with the DVD Dual and not the DVD Super Multi. THe latter allows you to view any and all formats

Has anyone heard any more about this since the last posts? Am on the verge of deciding between a TM3201 or 4502 but if this one is likely to be a similar price in the UK and available over here soon I could probably put off the agonising decision a little longer...[ :D]

Athreya, if you read this, do you have any additional details from the specs you got (apart from what's on the web link)? Thank you!

Thanks Athreya! I spoke to Acer UK and they said that they aren't expecting any new models in that series in the near future to come out over here, so might just bite the bullet and get one of the others. I guess not all models come out in all countries.
