    Hello,
I bought VX 15 and I did a thorough check on it.

It frequently does a tiny clicking sound (I presume it is an HDD).

Ï have installed Active Hard Dis Monitor 4.0 and the health percentage is at 58% for SSD and 81% HDD.

Are these sounds / percentages normal or should I be worried? Other than that, decent laptop.

if the laptop is brand new, I'd say return in while you are still in the 2-week window. It's definitely a refurb.

I ve ran all kinds of checks, including SeaTools and what not. All came out negative, no issues at all.
The clicking doesnt happen in idle and is not loud or anything.
    Are you sure?

If you buy a new device, health readings from HD Tune or HD Sentinel or the OEM tools should be above 90%. There is no excuse for getting an SSD that has been heavily used already.

@ZickZak It's hard to tell what the Active Hard Disc Monitor actually measures and how it rates the drive. I doubt anyone here uses it.
Use something that is widely used or better yet post full smart statistics for both drives so we can analyze those.

Thanks both. I am currently scanning with HD Tunes error scan, that shows nothing. I dont know where the health % is there, but HD Sentinel showed both at 100%.

I ll try to get the smart statistics later on

The sound went away, however I still encounter issues such as occasional Freeze spikes when opening a map in WoW, or loot, or such. Many suggested it can be an HDD error...
I ll have to do more diging. Thanks a lot.

Newbie here, I think it's had bottlenecks due to the (notorious) slow speeds (in hard drives).
I wonder if you have enough clams to drop more for new drives.
