    Hi, has anyone encountered this problem?

    I just got a new Aspire 1353 and the microphone plug doesn't work. I tried 3 different recording apps and none records anything. The headphones work, sound card works, but the mic not. I have noticed that when I open Volume Control thingy (the one that comes with windows) the balance slider for mic is dimmed gray - and that's the only unusual thing i've noticed so far.

    Can anyone help?
