Compusmart in Canada has a listing for the AS1644WLMi, has it being released in 15 days. Here are the listed details:

    http://www.compusmart.com/Product/Default.aspx?SupplierPartNo=388118

    Penitum M 2.0GHz
    1GB ram
    100GB hdd
    15.4 WXGA
    DVD-DUAL
    XP Home

    $1499 CDN

Does anyone know what video card is coming with that and how much memory is on it? If it's an X700 or X600 with 128MB I'm sold. I checked the Acer website but found nothing. If anyone has anymore info, that would be huge!

The best laptop available in Canada for $1499 is currently the TravelMate 4402. It's a pretty solid machine, and it's what I currently own but I wouldn't hesitate one second to return this one and buy that in a couple weeks.

I know its an old topic but here's your answer :

There is no dedicated video card in this machine. It is built in Intel :(

The build quality on this laptop is pathetic. The hinges under the screen have developed cracks within 4 months of usage (this is a very common scenario reported on many places on the net and my notebook has this problem too). It is a heavy heavy machine at ~ 6.4 pounds.
