My 5612 arrived today but it won't boot. I press the power button, the lights come on and the fan blows for 5 seconds. Then the fan stops and the power light, hard drive light and DVD light all stay on. The screen stays totally black all the while. The battery is fully charged.

You could hooking it up to an external monitor.

It seems that i have a similar problem with my apire 5633 wlmi. It was working perfectly for 2 weeks and today when i tried to turn it on only ehr power led, optical drive led and wireless led came on (and cpu cooler was on for few seconds) after that nothing happened... hdd led is not blinking at all, battery is fully charged (there is no difference on ac power only, without the battery put in) and its not the matter of display ( i tried on external lcd already) any ideas? or shall i send it back to the manufacturer...
