    Hi,

As always a fantastic acer forum. As an fyi, I downloaded and installed the latest Intel Turbo Memory driver (1.5.0.1013) on 5920G. Fantastic performance boost, that finally got my Gaming index back to 5.3  (aero still annoyingly stuck at 4.6) :( .

Interestingly the install updated the Matrix Storage Manager to a higher version (7.8.0.1013) than Intel is offering as an independent download (7.6.0.1011).

I had noticed after a second reboot that the Readydrive/readyboost was disabled. Checking the system report in the console it said that the OROM version was 1.5.0.1012 (I assume the version from the previous driver) and incompatible. I uninstalled the ITM from Programs and Features and reinstalled it. Bingo! all drivers updated to 1.5.0.1013 and everything running fine.

    Hope this helps :)

    Yo, thanks for the link!

BTW, how did you reinstall your ITM? Just launch the installer again?

Yep, that's what I did. Before I uninstalled ITM because of the incompatible status, I did create a system restore point and I'd suggest you do it as well! :)

After the uninstall the 5920G had to be rebooted. On loading back into Windows, it did say that it couldn't find a particular file (sorry, can't remember the name). But there were no OS issues caused and re-installing the new driver worked fine. I remember ages back that it was recommended NOT to uninstall, but I can't remember if it was to do with ITM or not. However, this was written by one of our resident Acer Forum guru's, Bigspin, so if he (she) is reading this - did you write that?

Only remove/reinstall the ITM driver if the console states in it's system report that it cannot enable ReadyDrive/ReadyBoost.
