    Hi everyone,

I'm new here but not new to forums, I just got a killer deal on an Acer Aspire 5050-3371 the only thing i dont like is the fact that it comes with windows vista basic,
I installed windows xp pro sp2 on it, but for some odd reazon im not able to "turn on" the wireless after I installed xp, the two front switches for the bluetooth and the wireless dont seem to be working, could i be missing a driver for this?
everything else checks out fine. everything worked perfect with vista.

Any advice or possible solution would be apriciated. :D

Finally got it working, I ended up downloading the driver for the wireless on the Europe site, it’s the second one on the list, reinstalled xp for the second time installed the new driver and boom works like a champ!!! Thanks for reading and I hope this helps someone else in distress

Oddly enough installing acer launch manager from the acer site would have also cleared this issue up :)

I'm very happy with the pc so far, the screen is quite nice, everything else works beautiful, hopefully i'll stay that way.
