    Hi all,

New user to the forum. I want to first thank those here who help out people like me. It's very appreciated. I've asked about this elsewhere, but you all seem a bit less cutthroat toward people who make dumb mistakes.

Long story short, I was messing with things a bit over my head and managed to get rid of PQService. Yes, I'm stupid. I confess. Lesson learned. :)

Fortunately, I have recovery DVDs. I purchased these from Acer rather than creating my own with eRecovery. The pack they sent had one System DVD and one Recovery DVD.

My question is: should the recovery DVDs sent by Acer still work, even if PQService is not functional? Right now, my PC works fine, but I don't want to use them at some point in the future and ruin everything.

    Thank you!
