Newegg vs ZipZoomfly for buying Acer Ferrari 4000 (plus warranty question)

Has anyone bought from either of these two sellers? I am leaning towards ZZF as they are $125 cheaper, however does anyone have an idea of the difference, or better yet experience ordering from them.

Also, where could I get the Ferrari's warranty upped a year, preferably with a complete care type package. Thanks

 

Newegg and Zipzoomfly, both are very very famous online vendors.

I've had very high dollar amount transactions with both and they are all top-notch vendors for sure.

If you can find any better vendors, please let me know.

As for Newegg, they are very good period. They have wide variety of selections, fast shipping, good prices, near hassle-free RMA processes, decent shipping rate and pretty good customer service.

The only negative aspect of Newegg for me is - I'm in NJ and they charge 6% of sales tax since some time last year. This is pretty high when I buy high dollar items like notebooks or a bunch of items in single order. Also they slightly increased their shipping fee since last year. A lot of their items used to be with free Fedex Express Saver which would take 3 days in most areas.

So when I buy high dollar items, I usually use Zipzoomfly now. Many of their items are with free 2 day Fedex shipping so after calculating the shipping fee and tax, Zipzoomfly is bit cheaper for me.

But this only applies if you are in NJ, TN or CA. They have warehouses in those 3 states and charge sales taxes if you are in those 3 states.

Also for certain items, ZZF is bit cheaper.

What I can tell you is that both are reputable online vendors and they have been around for years now.

Also you should know that they might not have the expensive notebooks like Ferrari 4000s in stock but they would rather do the drop ship option so call in advance to make sure if they have the item that you want in stock.

This is usual for most online vendors since they do not know when and who would purchase some $$$ laptops so they usually do not keep the items in stock. However if the demand is high, they would keep the items in stock and you would also get a better price.

I don't know where you usually shop, but Newegg and ZZF, they are safe with your credit cards and information.

If you look through some reputable computer magazines, you would see some ADs for Newegg. ZZF, you do not see as often any more, but they are also famous online vendors.

My 99% of personal purchase and work purchase are through either of them and I can say that they are top-notch.
