    Hi there...

i bought the Nitro 5 Spin. When i test the Battery (BatteryInfoView / Windwos Energy Report) i found a problem.
The capacity is shown with ~50000 mWh. But it will only charge up to ~40000! 80% but ALWAYS shows 100% fully charged.

I first looked out for some software on my system like Batterylife Extender, i searched all options, i checked the Bios, i installed/uninstalled Windows battery driver, then resett the battery, fully charge/uncharge. Nothing. Always only 40000mWh at 100% (windows battery level) .

I couldnt find any infos on the whole net for this model. It seems no one ever had this problem.
Then i ask Acer support, first via Chat, hell... incompetence, thats all. No idea what im talking about, just reading there spec sheet. Thank you for nothing. Then i send a mail, still no answer after 4 Days now.

In the meantime i recieved a replacemt laptop. The almost very first thing i did, was BatteryInfoView:
    Design capacity ~50000
    Last full capacity ~50000
    loading cycles : 0
    current stand ~ 41000

Ok, i thought must be a hardware issue, and its gone now. While i was installing my stuff, i found out, that not a single mWh was going into that Battery but it was charging. When it was fully to 100% it shows... 40000mWh!!!

So, NO hardware issue. It must be a Firmware/Software thing, like Battery life Extender. But how on Earth ...i'm not supposed to manage that by myself??? How come that no review, no User ever saw/had this with this laptop?

    Ok, long text...

    1) May it be Hardware issue? Or have other Spin / Nitro this too?
    2) How can i charge full 100%

Hope someone can help me with this...THANK YOU

Try reinstalling Microsoft ACPI-compliant control method battery driver to see whether it helps, go to Device manager, expand batteries, right click Microsoft ACPI-compliant control method battery, Properties, then go to Driver tab and uninstall the driver, reboot and let Windows install the driver.
