    Hi everybody!

I'd like to know if Acer stopped producing 14.1 Aspire laptops? I tried to find somewhere to buy one, but everywhere they just do have 15.4" or old 14" models!

Even in the Acer.com product list they don't have 14.1 inches Aspire :'(

I hope they didn't discontinued the 14.1", I mean, they are much more portable and cuter than the 15.4"s...

If they did stop the production, do you know an equivalent 14.1 or 13.1" laptop (any other brand, or..) ?

I have found that the 14.1 incher is the most useless size.

Not enough to get the good video cards, to big to be a true portable.

What I have found out is that there is little diffrence between 15.4, 14.1 and 13.3.

so... some 13.1's have some preformance (XPS 1330 but can overheat but there are others)

please fill out the faqs so we can help more

From Acer's product catalog, the TravelMate 6493 and 4730 series, the Gateway T-6842, Extensa 4630 series, Aspire 4530 series, and eMachines 620 series are all 14.1" models.
I wouldn't hold the funeral for this size notebook just yet.

Acer Aspire AS4730 is a 14" WXGA laptop. Recently introduced with the newer Intel 4500 gaphics.

I find 14" laptops are better than 15.4" especially if you are just going to get WXGA. The resolution in both is the same. Why carry the extra bulk when what you can see is the same?

Two words, adesai - graphics cards.
14.1" models tend to get low-end dedicated ones like the 8400M GS or the HD 3450, while moving to 15.4" means the possibility of the 9600M GT or HD 3670.
