well after doing a lot of search and still without a solution, here i am with my problem.

i had this Acer 9300 3375 laptop since last february and it was workin fine, it came with vista but i installed xp 32 bit but never had any problems. but recently i installed xp 64 bit as they said its compatible. and a few days later it just died no bios or anything although power led lights up but nothing else no hdd activity, however it worked after i pressed Alt+F10 while pwering it, and now after a week or so its dead again and now Alt+f10 trick doesnt work either.

as i have read in some forums abt Usb floppy drive flash but i dont have that and only laptop that is running now doent have writer :( :( :(
so my only option is Usb

but i tried pressing fn+esc while usb with bios is inserted
but nothng happens i.e. it doesnt acces usb drive at all

is there a solution or i should throw i away.
and how much would be repair from acer , just estimate.

if under warranty it should be FREE.... if not under warranty costs vary depending on country.... email acer and they should reply by sending you an RMA # and the 800 toll-free phone #.... just call that # and ask.

for the FN+ESC to start the BIOS RECOVERY, you should remove the battery and the AC POWER cable..

make sure the USB device with the BIOS recovery file is plugged up,
then HOLD the FN+ESC while plugging the POWER IN....
KEEP HOLDING FN+ESC down and press the POWER BUTTON.

that worked on my laptop.... i'll do some checking tonight and see which type of BIOS your laptop has... if it has an INSYDE bios then the only file you need on the USB thumb drive is the bios.FD file.

if your laptop has an award or pheinox bios i'm not sure exactly what is needed on the thumb drive,, but i'll see if i can find any info for you.
