Ok, here is the long story...

    My laptop is a 5672wlmi, 2 gb RAM, 120 gb disk. T2300.

I ordered a USB/Serial port cable to connect my ODBII converter. The thing came with drivers on a small CD. Tried to install the drivers, but the Slot CD drive would neither take the CD all the way in, nor give it back to me. Ok, pop off the CD faceplate and I can get the %$#&* little CD out... but I cannot get the faceplate back on. Next step, try and remove the CDROM drive, but it will not just pop out... start to disassemble the laptop by removing ALL the screws on the bottom, not just the big panel and hard drive cover. Was doing all right until the little switches on the front (the Bluetooth and WiFi ones), fell into the case. To cut to the end, I got it all back together and working, but without the switches and the little rubber doohickie that covers something that I don't use.

SO... does anybody have some good detailed instructions on how to crack the case open, and get it back together again WITH the switches in place? This is NOT just the big panel on the bottom that covers the memory, cpu, et. al., but the whole case. I was doing it from the bottom (laptop upside down), but I am guessing that it should be done from the top, right side up, somehow. I am just more than a little hesitant to open it again for fear of breaking it.

I still have the switches, which are just little pieces of plastic that have to fit right to work. I cannot use my WiFi without a very small screwdriver to reach the front panel switch thru the hole.

Thanks to all who post constructive responses.
