    No Graphics White ScreenAcer Aspire 5735

    Hi All

    I have an Acer 5735 laptop. When I switch on all works as it should except no graphics on screen. When connected to an external monitor all works fine.

    Also the charger will only charge when external monitor is connected.

    Have reseated the graphics card with new paste but still no better.

    Sensible ideas appreciated.

    Have you tried to re-connect the display cable? Maybe the inverter is dying. That`s strange situation - charging with plugged external monitor. o_O

    Yes have pulled the machine to pieces and still nothing tried another motherboard still the same!!!!!

    A broken LCD cable does that white screen sometimes but it won't affect charging.
