I'm curious as to why Acer doesn't make any MT-based laptops?
From an article I read the prices are not significantly higher (is this correct?) so I don't see the holdup.
In fact, most laptops seem to be based on the ML line.
Any ideas why?

No, at the moment, Acer only has ML-based notebooks.
The reason being is that, while the ML's are only about $2-$5 cheaper than the MT's, that can add up when you're talking about manufacturing tens of thousands of computers. Also, the ML's were avaliable long before the MT's. -
The availability makes some sense. Acer could have easily passed a $5 cost to the customer who would be more than happy given the reduced power consumption.
Anyways, hope we start seeing something new soon... -
Same here, I'd like to see them phase out the ML line altogether in place of the MT series.

The ML's are even true Turion's - they're just rebadget Low Voltage AMD Mobile Athlon 64's, such as the one put in the Acer Ferrari 3200.

I had no idea on that one! But anyways, as long as the laptops themselves are slim and not DTRS, and don't sufer from obvious heat issues I guess it's ok...
No Turion MT laptops?
