I have Acer Aspire 5720Z and old hd failed, i replaced hdd and reinstalled Vista. The problem is that the num lock and hdd indicator lights no longer work. I have installed the Acer launch manager, that has enabled the email and bluetooth and www buttons, but still no hdd, numlock or capslock light indicators. I cannot find out where i can find drivers or settings to enable them.
    Help plz.

    Ta

These light do not require any drivers- it has to be a hardware failure somewhere.

I have no specific idea but feel a clue has to be the HDD light not working.

Do the number and caps lock buttons work ?

The only thing I can thing of is that the new HDD is different... if you google this problem such topics crop up.

Maybe if you could post the exact details of the original drive and your replacement someone more knowledgeable than me could advise...
