    No power without Battery connected

    Hi everyone! I have just joined! Can anyone help!
    I have an acer aspire 8930G. It will not work unless the battery is plugged in, If I take the battery out I have no power. Any Ideas Please. Thanks

    does it charge the battery? and do you see LED indicator lighting which hows that it is plugged in?

    Hi James. The battery charges when it is in lap top, but when I take it out it is dead, no LED.

    do you have another laptop at home? check if its power block is similar (xxA, xxWatt, xxVolt) to power block of this exact laptop.
