I'm using a 5100 with vista. I decided to try vista 64, but didnt like the compatibility. Most 64 bit apps i tried would not work. Also, it would not shut down properly. When I would choose 'shut down" it was like the OS would shut down, but thats it. My wireless stayed on and you could hear the fan still running and nothing would turn off unless you held the power button in. So I went back to Vista32. Did all the updates and all nine yards, now i just went to shut down, and I have no shut down option, only switch user, log off, and lock computer. Anyone have an idea as to whats happening here?
