I'm thinking about purchasing the Acer TimelineX 3820TG from South Korea through my family and one major pull back is that I'm afraid I won't be covered with warranty here. If my laptop breaks down, the I'm screwed. Should I still do it? I heard there is a global warranty, but I don't know how is works. Any help would be appreciated!

If you buy from another country, you have to assume that you will have no warranty. If that is too much risk, importing is not for you.
