    Hey everyone..

I have a Acer Aspire 5601AWLMi (Intel Centrino Duo T2050, Windows XP Media Center 2005, Intel 950 integrated graphics, 512MB DDR2 Memory, 100GB HD)

The system has been messy since I received it, and every time I reformat, it works for let's say 2 weeks very well. After that, even if I don't install anything, it freezes every few seconds for a few seconds .

Because of that, I tried reformatting, installing some operating system such as Linux as well as Vista from boot.

Apparently it doesn't load from disc although I did change this in the BIOS to boot from disc, then hard drive. I've tested this disc and confirmed it's bootable on other computers.

I tried the upgrade from Windows itself; and after installation had completed, I can't even boot Windows now or rollback

Acer couldn't help me as they said this is an operating system thing and they provide no support for this. I understand that, but I received no guide to any other sources for help on this subject matter.

Is there anything I can do now, or am I going to have to leave it and not work with it anymore?

    Thanks for the help.
