    Hi,
    Im not sure if this is the right place to talk about this but i have tried their website to no avail, and i have read through the FAQ and there seems to be quite a few guys on here that have used it....Anyway.... I have an Acer 8204

    I have been looking to try it out and i installed the free aka `Personal` version of NHC. However i cant seem to get any functionality aside from changing the `Set selected Power Scheme'?

    The mian problem i have had is that now i have uninstalled it the fan is on full all the time. Normally i have three modes

    1 - Quiet/Silent - Normal windows usage
    2 - Noticable - when using cad etc
    2 - Loud - when playing games etc

    Normally i could not really hear the fan now it is on Loud all of the time, no matter what i am trying to do. It is very irritating as i leave it on all night normally when i am transferring files, but usually its silent, now its like a plane taking off.

    I havent joined the forum as i couldnt find it at the time. I could use the SpeedFan program , but i am just worried i have screwed something up as the fan speed used to manage itself without any software installed (ACER or NHC) now it is just on full speed all the time

    Anbody have any ideas, i dont really want to reinstall the Acer Power Management Stuff (i uninstalled it due to being a memory hog)

    What desktop profile :confused:, NHC = laptop! I do not see any DT option in NHC2.0 pr4. Do you really mean `Set selected Power Scheme'? Did you load free aka `Personal' or did U buy the Pro version? How did U uninstall Windows Programs or NHC uninstl?
    Did you read FAQ or follow the directions, {which ones?}
    Did U join NHC forum? If U just want fan control on DT or LT try SpeedFan 4.31
    Not sure how to reactivate APM as sounds like you over wrote or deleted it already.
