Just got my Acer AS7741g-6426 laptop and one of the first things I did (aside from the initial system backup) was uninstall the pre-bundled oem software from the system. However, one of the things i just can't quite figure out how to uninstall apart from just deleting the program directory, is the Netflix link.
I am not new to computers, so let me explain:
This is not just a plain URL on my desktop. The shortcut is linked to a program called "StartURL.exe" that launches in order to open a web page to the Netflix website. Odd, isn't it? Why not just use a url shortcut instead of using an exe?
Anyway, when I check the shortcut on the desktop here is the info I see:
When I checked the program location, it leads to the "ProgramData" folder in C:Code:Target: "%AllUsersProfile%\OEM_E471269A730D\Netflix\StartUrl.exe http://homepage.acer.com/redirect.aspx?rid=09000001" Start in: "%AllUsersProfile%\OEM_E471269A730D\Netflix\"
The only option I see of removing it so far is by deleting the subfolder containing the program for Netflix. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas?

Try installing Revo Uninstaller, this may be able to uninstall it for you (hopefully), fairly useful program, also scans for leftover junk if done in advanced mode.
Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems
Obviously, you can remove this once done or keep it on your machine.
