    Odd networking issues

    One of my clients had 3 aspire 5735 units with XP Pro installed but once or twice a day the laptops will just randomly disable the onboard Marvell Yukon NIC. any ideas anyone?

    does it happen simultaneously?

    no all 3 units just do it randomly and are on 2 separate physical netoworks and locations

    the odds of it being the card are slimmer, so the greatest liklihood is the driver for the adapters

    switch off power save mode on each laptop.
    when the laptop is not being used, the os will shut down all unsed bit to save power and lower your carbon footprint :D

    need any help with this just post back here.

    power mode was shut down but we did find the problem, a third party driver for netowrk optimizations, removed it and all was well
