    Optical Drive doesnt recognize RECORDED CDs/DVDs

    I recently bought a Acer travelmate 3260 laptop, but its' optical drive doesnt recognize CDs/DVDs. but they are work fine on other devices!. Again it works fine for factory made disks. Problem occers only for home burned disks.

    Please help.

    1st thing coming to mind:
    . media incompatibility

    try burning a cd using ur laptop and see if it is being recognized afterward
