    Acer 5112 wlmi ati x1600 tl-50 @ 1.6 x 2

I want to bring my clock speed up. I have Clockgen, i dont know the exact PLL. Ive guessed at an input using the ICS 950405. Working slider, no effect when set tho.

Anyone who has an Acer model laptop, which uses the Acer Navarro Mobo, and that has succesfully overclocked their Acer laptop, please post in detail the method used so that others can benefit from your experience thus far.

The PLL for the Acer Navarro Mobo is key here, as is any other experience or tinkering that had to be done to reach your result.

Benchmarks arent necessary, just the method, software, any other steps taken to deal with heat etc.

Thank you very much in advance.

The reason nothing happened is because you have the wrong ICS.
You can check this thread about overclocking the aspire 5102 with clockgen.

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=91077

The aspire 5110 and 5100 use the same bios as well as motherboard.
You can read that thread and try the ICS 951462 given..

I did not need to know the PLL, all you need is the correct ICS number then read the clocks and there you go you can start overclocking using the sliders in PLL control.

I hope you have read up on all the side effects of overclocking, like increased heat output and the other risk involved.

    Hope this helps...

This is because the TL-50 and TL-52 are not stable at anything above 1.9Ghz. Actually from my tests 1.8Ghz is the sweet spot for these processors :). I am surprised you even reached 2Ghz when I get to 1.95Ghz my notebook usually just freezes up and will shutdown.

My Aspire 5112wlmi becomes unstable at even speeds such as 1,7ghz.. I'm guessing I need to raise the voltage but I dunno how..
