Hail, i am a new proprietary of an Acer 6930G.

I have read a lot of people ask if theyr Acer laptop are overclockable on the CPU, and sometimes different users say that is possible but is difficult. I search some guide, but i don't find nothing.

Can you tell me if is possible overclock my CPU and give me the guide for doing this procedure?

I have try whit SetFPS, i have find the proper chip on my Notebook, but when i try to move the frequencies they return to original valor.

    Bye and tnk.

Overclocking the FSB is the only way to overclock the CPU on Acer (Centrino) laptops. You cannot do it on the 6930G, because the clock generator on the motherboard is not supported by any of the overclocking software.

How i say in the first post, i found the PLL whit SetFSB. I have open the notebook and read the sigle on chip.. so the problem now is the block on BIOS.

    Bye

What is the PLL you're using? BIOS cannot block anything. If the PLL is correct, the frequencies will change. If the PLL is incorrect, the frequencies will reset or the system will crash.

    SLG8SP513V

This recognize the real frequencies. When i select new clock and i wuould aplly it, the frequencies return to default value.

I have read that many Acer bios are locked, i would know if there is a method to override this.

BIOS has nothing to do with the clock generator being locked up or anything.
That clockgen is close but not correct.

Acer 6930 has two clockgens listed - ICS9LPRS365BGLFT and SLG8SP512K05. You'll have to check which one your motherboard has.

    i have tried SLG8SP513V and ICS9LPRS365BGLF in setfsb 2.1.97.0

SLG8SP513V recognized the real cpu freq

Is that means that infact the generator of 6930 is SLG8SP512K05(if you are sure Acer 6930 has two clockgens listed - ICS9LPRS365BGLFT and SLG8SP512K05)?
