Hi All,
My significant other just told me that she managed to crack the LCD screen during a plane flight today when she hastily closed the lid to let a gentleman get out from the window seat while a pair of those white Apple ear-bud headphones were sitting right on the top-side of the battery/bezel located right above the keyboard.
*CRACK*
There's now a crack on the LCD on the lower left-hand corner of the screen.
She's gone for another two weeks but I'd like to go ahead and order a new LCD screen for the AS1410-2801 off of eBay so I can have it ready to replace once she gets back. The only problem is, I'm finding a lot of different part numbers for it including the following:
- LK.11605.001
- LK.11605.003
- LK.11606.001
- LK.11608.001
- LK.1160D.001
- LK.1160D.005
I was hoping someone would have a definitive answer in which part number I need to order. -- I'm guessing it's the exact same LCD as my AS1810T-8638 but I'd rather not take it apart to grab the part number off of it. -- Worse case scenario is I wait till she gets back so I can take the AS1410 apart but would like to order it ASAP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Kermee

LK.11605.003
All of these will work. I'd ignore CMO for 10ms response, Samsung and LPL for permanent quality issues. You're left with two AUOs one of which is meant for a notebook with 3G WAN. So if you own one with 3G modem go for LK.11605.003, if not go for LK.11605.001 -
*Thank you SO MUCH!*
Wow! That's exactly the information I needed! I'd give you rep +100 but it would only allow me to do it once.Looks like LK.11605.001 is the one I need since I don't have a 3G modem. (Guessing it has the antenna leads in the LCD?)
Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Any assistance you can provide would be much appreciated. -
Your best bet to get your screens model number is simply to take it apart and look on the back of the screen. That guarantees that you get the right screen and no surprises.

@Rick76
I have o info on this one unfortunately. Search for a service manual for this laptop but I doubt you'll find one or do what Astrogiblet recommended. -
Ok, thank you for the responses. I will let you know how I make out.
