Just bought a new 8920 Notebook. I did a backup using the e recovery. I backed it up to 2 dvd"s. Then I did another backup using Acronis True Image Home. I backed it up to a pc on my home network.

There are 4 partitions: C (ntfs), D (ntfs), PQService (FS) and one other (FS), (can't remember the name)

Can I delete the PQSERVICE and the other partion? I can't remember the name of the other. I think it was "service" or something.

Then I can make my "D" partition larger and shrink my "C" partition to 50 GB.

I want to end up with "D" 300 GB and "C" 50 GB

Please keep the PQ Service partition intact and don't delete it. It is what contains the System Recovery info and files for your Acer.

If you mess with it the chances are good that you will mess up your new lappie. And be back here asking all sorts of questions about how to fix the problem (like lot's of folks before you). Leave alone.

    Cheers,
    Theo
