Packard Bell is an Acer brand, so it is very likely that this is an Acer motherboard.
    Edit:
Hm. Nothing, I would trust, personally.

What do you mean its an acer brand?

I was under the impression that if it were an Acer brand like Emachines the design would be the same as another model, but rebranded. Similar to HP/compaq. The manufacturer of Acer I believe would stay the same which is inventec and compal, as well as the actual motherboard.

    Is packard bell a manufacturer?

I don't understand what you mean, about "nothing you would trust".
Its a laptop motherboard with a gtx 260m onboard, don't you find that interesting? I can't find any info about it whatsoever.

Packard Bell "as the one in my Sig" falls under the Acer Umbrella they used to be a manufacturer but Acer acquired the company just like Gateway & Emachines ... my laptop is a clone of the Acer Aspire 5740G regarding the mobo, specs, bios EVERYTHING & has a Gateway casing ... it is like a deformed child :D

    Haha.
I love this because there is always more we will not know.
In this case, what is this laptop??? still no idea at all.

I found a few old Dell machines that used the same board as an HP.
Also once I saw someone at a coffee shop typing on a toshiba laptop with a compaq lid. Or vice versa. I didn't ask them about it tho.

I'm just curious if there actually is an equivalent acer that will fit this board, but was never released with a gtx 260m. That would be amazing.

I think that this Mobo belongs to Packard Bell IPower GX ... Thats the only one who came with GTX260 as far as I know

EDIT: This was the clone of Gateway P-7920u FX so that mobo will work in that Gateway model too "if" it was the IPower GX one
