    Hi,

My girlfriend has an acer as1410. Works nice, until she dropped coffee where the mouse pad is ....

I ordered a new one and transfered the HDD.

I opened up the other one: works well, except the left click. I cleaned up the coffee that was stagnant on the circuitry and cabling.

Everything is still fine (right click, pad ..) except the left click that does not want to register. Even when an external mouse is plugged in (left click doesnt not work!).

I was wondering if anyone know the FRU part number for the mouse click, as well as the cable that goes with it - or if anyone has parts for the AS1410 (or 1810T or its gateway equivalent)?

That would be great and could then use the AS for myself :)

    S.

It's.. extremely strange that left click doesn't work with an external mouse. I'm stumped on this one.

Me too. It did it before teh clean up and afterwards ....

I am assuming that some of the circuitry within the little part of the 2 clicks of the mouse pad must "tell" the system that it is non existent ...
