I can't get to the setup (F2) screen cause it's asking for a password. I want to see if it's booting up on the CD. It's a friends that got it from a friend, etc., so nobody knows the password. I'm installing a new hard drive and I need it to boot up on the CD. Does anyone know what to do?

Reset the Bios. You can do this by removing the AC and battery from the laptop, then removing the CMOS battery for a minute or so (it should be accessable from the RAM access panel).
