    hello,

my brother gave me a neighbours p.c to look at. it boots up and asks for enter current password?? but there is no password on the system.. it looks like a bios one.

i have taken out the hdd to see if i can boot from dvd drive. and i cant. no matter what i do it just goes to enter current password screen. i have changed loads of cmos batterys before but i cant find it, i am looking for what i know as a cmos battery(see pic cmos) i cant find it) is there a chance the pics cmos 1 & 2 is the cmos, i have never seen one like that before. its soldered on to the motherboard, not like the standard one you just plug in and out of the motherboard by pins. please see attachments.

    pictures

cmos: is what i consider a cmos battery

    cmos 1 & 2 taken from laptop.

i have no experiance at soldering whatsoever so i dont wanna break it.

please see leave different link for pictures
