    Right after Vista got a virus and gave up on me i took the plunge and installed xp little did i know how much of a nightmare it was going to be. i know there are a few more threads like this but my acer has the hd 3650 and i cant find the drivers anywhere people direct me to a page on the ati website but when i download them it says you do not have the proper hardware for these drivers to be installed . In device manager Display adapters isnt even listed.I stil have ? By network controller uknown device usb device and video controller (vga Compatible) Please help i am at the end of my tether :confused:

    Graphic drivers often can't 'see' laptops GPU so when this happens you gotta force Windows to accept the driver. Download the drivers from Ati then check this guide. It's meant for nVidia but it should work for Ati..

    There is no inf file for ati so how do i force it also there are no official xp drivers for hd 3650 so im pretty much screwed

    1. Download the Catalyst Software Suite(For Radeon HD 3600 series).
    2. Run it.
    3. Catalyst will extract itself in C:\ATI
    4. Copy the ATI folder to another location for example C:\123\ATI
    5. Now cancel the setup process.
    // Catalyst will delete it's installation files and folders(C:\ATI) that is why you had to copy it to C:\123
    6. Now go to C:\123\ATI\SUPPORT\8-9_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_68898\Driver\XP_INF <--- here is the INF file located.
    7. Now follow the Have Disk guide I gave you in my first post.
