I own an Acer Aspire 3613 Wlmi laptop and recently I reinstalled Windows to fix a lot of corrupted files. I have managed to find the appropriate drivers to bring the sound and graphics back properly however none of the USB ports are working on it now. I have a flashdisk (pendrive) and whenever I plug it in nothing happens. The computer doesn't even recognise that anything has been plugged in. It's the same with all USB hardware. Please can someone tell me if there is a driver out there that will make the USB work on it again?

Have you installed Intel Chipset Driver? If you haven't then install that... If you have, right click on 'My Computer' select 'Properties' and in the 'Hardware' Tab click on 'Device Manager'.

Check the USB section for drivers. If there appears to be misinstalled drivers then right click on the device and click 'Update Drivers'. Then 'Advanced' (Allow me to pick device drivers).. and find the file in the i386 directory of you Windows XP CD.
