    Hi peeps

I bought a 5101WLMI. Thought that I was puchasing a Turion dual core procerssor but in fact this is only a single core 2.0 GHz. Can you tell me what sort of gains I would get in having the 1.6GHz dual core model i.e 5102? All the sites I go to advertise the 5100 series as dual core 64 x2 technology. Why??
    thanks for any replies

From Acer website which is usually quoted in store ads: 'The slim and stylish Acer Aspire 5100 models feature the all-new AMD Turion™ 64 X2 mobile Dual Core technology with AMD PowerNow!™, HyperTransport™, Enhanced Virus Protection and 3DNow!™' etc..

Honestly I would much rather have the sc 2.0 than the dc 1.6
