    Good day folks,
I have been searching everywhere and it seems there is a huge problem with Vista and battery charging. I have an Acer 9410 that I have had 2 batteries and 2 chargers for and I get the old "Plugged in not charging" BS. And IF I do get it to say "Plugged in ,Charging" It really doesn't charge. I have battery @ 83% and another @ 28% an neither will charge anymore. Now I have tried all the usual crap...Updated BIOS, different batteries/chargers,unplugging and plugging back in while standing on my head on a Tuesday during a full moon..... I had a Shaman come in and bless the damn thing but I still can not get this thing to charge a battery. I have looked all over the net and have found 1 common denominator...That wonderful program called Vista....However the Gods in the MS ivory tower deny any problems...go figure. I know this is an issue with many other brands of laptops, I was just hoping that maybe someone here may know of a fix. Maybe I should have stood on my head on a Thursday !!??? Im getting REALLY frustrated with this. I leave for Europe tomorrow and I have 2 batteries that don't have enough power to run a vibrator to satisfy an ant !!!

I don't understand how Vista has any bearing on whether the battery is charging. I guess it's just easy to blame Vista for everything.

Does it charge when you are in BIOS? This way, you can rule out Vista.

While I was searching I read somewhere that someone was blaming Acer Empowerment for conflicting and causing the battery to not work. I assume before that everything was working perfectly on your system. Did it came to your mind that maybe the hardware is malfunctioning?
ps. I dont think is Vista, What a post ! Try Holy Water!
