Just interested how high you all set the brightness and whether anyone that has had invertor or tube failure was a "high brightness user".

So a quick poll, how high do you have the brightness turned up, is it quarter, half, full etc or expressed perhaps 5 out 15, 8 out of 15 etc.

I run 3 out 15 on the brightness, no display problems 3 years old Aspire 9301

I have the 6930ZG and when I turn down the brightness, a little beeping noise begins. No problems with the display, just a little beeping. I have found out, it's because it begins to vibrate for some reason. On highest brightness it works perfect, and I always use that ;)

It's not my computer, because I have heard about people who had the same "issue".

But as I said, it's not very loud, I could easily live with it IF I used low brightness.

I can't imagine what the beeping could be at low brightness settings... very strange.

Full brightness on AC, lowest when on battery.
    No problems so far.

There is no such issue at all , i would say that is an imaginative theory ..

And as such, there is no need for further conversation .

All electronics , operates always under specs ,
so the failure rates to be eliminated or remain low.

6 or 7 out of a scale of 1 - 15. If it's too bright, I get "sea sickness" when I play a FPS like Borderlands or L4D. It also bothers my eyes after extended periods of time.
