I have an old old old Acer Aspire 3050 model ZR3 and the female connection in the unit where the power supply plugs into broke inside the unit and I have taken all screws that I could find out and still can not remove the back cover to get to the connection.
Seems to be in the middle area that won't move and I am afraid to force it.
    Any help would be great.

Service Guides can't be shared here due to copyright issues but can be found elsewhere on the net.
Search for "aspire 5050 3050 service guide". All disassembly instructions are there complete with pictures.

You need to take the laptop apart completely to get at the power board. Start with the 2 screws on the back of the hinge covers, open the laptop fully and prise up the strip with the power button and hinge covers. You can then remove the keyboard and get at the rest of the screws holding the case together.

Everything needs to be taken apart/removed before the top/bottom comes apart. Screen, hard drive,pc card blank, dvd, and all the screws top/bottom and back edge. There is a small screw in the edge of the hard drive bay you might miss. After all that start lifting the top from the dvd side, you need to gently prise the plastic over the yellow video out port on the other side at the same time.
