    FYI, for anyone interested

I ran Battery Eater twice, once in "power consuming" mode and once in "idle" mode.

Profile used was everything at full, CPU 100%, Screen 100% etc etc.

Power Consuming mode: Battery life 1:42 (before hibernating) estimated 1:47 total
Idel mode: Battery life 2:48 (before hibernating) estimated 2:55 total.

So adding in some savings (taking screen down to 80% or even lower, lowering CPU down some) should get a good three hours from this machine.

Not sure what battery eater is but..

I'm a writer and if I'm out at a cafe working, I use a power scheme of HIGH processor speed, about 60% LCD, (when writing I like it on the darker side) LAN off, WLAN off, Firewire off, and LCD turnoff at 3 mins. I get almost 3.5 hours out of it this way. Pretty good i think.

Battery Eater is a program designed to tell you battery life, and also push the computer to 100% CPU all the time (which will give you minimum battery life).

Oveall the battery life on this does seem very nice, I spent about 3 hours editing video last night and then rendered the final video and still had about 10% left on the battery.
