The laptop will automatic turn off for 2 second and will on back. At first i though is my OS problem but i try with few test, the problem came from the power supply. When i plugged-in with my AC adapter, the laptop will turn off when in the OS, it really random, sometime 30minute, the fastest is 1minute. Other then that, when i use battery with AC adapter the problem will occurs, but the problem didn't show when i just use battery. Thats really weird. Can anyone tell me what happen to my laptop? Is the adapter problem? or the laptop AC plug-in socket problem? Really frustrated!

So you're saying the system will automatically turn itself back on? That's strange.
Otherwise, the symptoms point to an overheating issue.

This does sound like your power unit. It's not buried is it? I'd try it balancing on something small to get maximum cooling.

Can you borrow another PSU to try? That could confirm the cause of the problem straight away.

I got the same problem!!! I have tried another AC adapter, change memories, change HD, clean fan, temps are Ok and always the same reset or freeze problem.

The only way to work is running on battery mode or changing boot mode to 1 processor in msconfig(this option only works in vista, win7 still resets).

I hope somebody can find a solution, does any body tried undervolting?
