Hey guys.
In a nutshell - I "accidentally" formatted or attempted to Format the PQSERVICE Partition on my laptop. The laptop froze for a sec, rebooted and now the laptop bluescreens quickly when trying to load windows 7.
If i boot using a boot disc I cannot see any drives - however, I can still boot into windows recovery tool and see a drive called "x" that has all sorts of Dir in it - "AdvancedInstallers" "boot" "drivers" "driversStore" etc
I am assuming this is the PQservice Partition, but I can be sure.
I only took a back up of my Windows 7 Partition and not the PQSERVICE partition.
What a nightmare! is there anything I can do or change?

Welcome to the forums, rotoitiman!
That X: partition when you've got the Windows Recovery Tool active is the virtual drive that the Recovery Tool is hosted on - the PQSERVICE partition normally doesn't have a drive letter assigned to it.
The PQSERVICE partition itself contains your factory default image - it's the same thing that's on your Acer recovery DVDs, and restores your computer if you hold Alt-F10 on boot-up. Not sure if it's still working thanks to your attempted formatting, but that's what it normally does.
I'd normally say to use your Windows 7 partition backup and get your system functional, but if your Recovery Tool can't see the C: or D: drives, we're in trouble. Have you tried downloading the GParted LiveUSB key and see if your partitions are still there?
